The Call of Tutu by Aaron Vanek

Notable Lovecraftian film maker Aaron J. Vanek has a masterful short up on Youtube, "The Call of Tutu." It may well be my personal favorite of Vanek's to date. From the simple premise of an old man talking about his cat, it becomes rapidly apparent that something much, much weirder is at work here. The audio effects and imagery only add to an accurate feeling of lurking insanity and Lovecraftian horror.



Mr. Vanek has numerous other Lovecraftian shorts and a longer film on "The King in Yellow," all available from Lurker Films.
