Garden notes, early May

Our little garden has been bright and colourful for weeks now, mostly with wallflowers and tulips.  Outside, on the driveway the lilac trees are working up to give a lovely display and the pink cherry trees have also been absolutely beautiful.  The double flowers remind me of ballerina dresses, especially lit with golden evening light.  It is a delicious time of year.
