Were Hailey Baldwin and Sofia Richie ever friends? It turns out the two were really close — up to just over a month before Justin Bieber came into the picture. Yikes!
Justin Bieber, 22, has been spending an awful lot of time with Sofia Richie, 17 — and his former friend, Hailey Baldwin, 19, doesn't seem too happy about it. The reason? Well, HollywoodLife.com can confirm that once upon a time Hailey and Sofia were actually pretty good friends. Awkward? Totally.
The first photos we uncovered of Sofia and Hailey getting friendly are from February 2016, when their mutual friend, socialite Maxime Shanova, posted an Instagram of the three of them together. In the picture Maxime has his arms around both girls, and he captioned the photo "crew."

Then in May 2016 Sofia and Hailey both partied at the Met Gala in New York City. Justin was also in attendance, but there are no pictures of the three of them together. Not only did Hailey and Sofia pose together on the red carpet with a slew of their model friends, but they also hit up the Balmain after party together. There's a really cute shot of them in the photo booth! Check it out below:
In June 2016, one of the girls posted a Snapchat video of themselves dancing in a kitchen. Sofia is holding the camera up high so that she can be seen bopping her head as Hailey throws up her hands and dances in the background. If that's not a major sign of friendship then we don't know what is!
Unfortunately it appears that the girls haven't spent much time together since. However, Hailey allegedly left two nasty comments on a picture of Sofia and Justin in Japan, demanding that the fan who posted it "delete" the "sh-t" because she didn't want to see it on her timeline. That… doesn't sound like she's too thrilled about Sofia and Justin getting cozy, does it?
