Former Kiss 100 presenter Caroline Mutoko just recently revealed about how she
struggled with self-confidence in her teenage years. Taking to her Facebook page, the radio queen wrote down a letter to the 16-year-old girl she was years back with an introverted personality as she looked forward to inspiring the young people.

As the bold and confident woman she’s known to be today with so much firmness and assertiveness, people would definitely doubt that she once had self-confidence
issues. Being an introvert did not deter her from going for what she wanted, she
pursued her dreams and became a radio queen getting an opportunity to work at
Capital FM and even Kiss FM. She is well-known for her motivational and inspirational talks that have changed people’s lives at some point.

The former Kiss presenter worked hard to be where she is today, she rose from
scratch and had her first job as a messenger while she was 17 before becoming a
radio host. She recalled how during her teenage years, her mother was always tough on her, and she wasn’t allowed to do do girlish stuff like doing different hairstyles, applying make up and nail polish as well. She however notes that her mother’s strictness on her is what shaped her to be the woman she is today and to focus more.

Letter to my 16 Year Old Self Dear Caroline, I’m writing to you as your 16-year-old self. It’s weird, even awkward to...

“The hardworking, determined streak of your personality will push you forward and you’ll do yourself proud. Don’t listen to the voices that call you over ambitious and aggressive. You will exceed your own expectations in many ways. Learn to shut out the voices that keep telling you to rebel. It’s not for you and anytime you try it, you will always come out feeling like you betrayed yourself. It will make you feel small and worse till you hate that person. The one they want. Stay true to you. It will pay off.

Trust me.”Mutoko never poured or opened up about herself to anyone but instead, she kept a journal where she poured out all her thoughts and words on paper which definitely helped her purge unwanted feelings.
